[CoilThread®](https://www.katoadvanex.com/coilthread/), the trailblazer in wire thread inserts that transformed the mechanical joint industry, is excited to announce its rebranding to KATO®, honouring the brand’s legacy and the name of its founder. Known for their exceptional precision, durable construction, and unique diamond wire shape, CoilThread® products have been the standard-bearer in the industry, enabling the creation of robust mechanical joints with lightweight alloys. In 2023, CoilThread® became KATO®. The decision to adopt the moniker KATO® was made by Advanex, the original manufacturer of CoilThread®. The new brand name pays homage to the company’s origin and its founder, Mr. Inokichi Kato, who in April 1930 founded the company that would eventually become Advanex, the global leader in precision-engineered metallic components.
